HELLO, AUTUMN!
I'm like this every year. So is OldMan and LovelyGirl. We have terrible allergies and when seasons are a-changin', we are a-sneezin'.
So, since I don't feel like blathering today, I'm offering up another rescue picture:
| Behold the cute. |
Normally, when I take in animals, I ask for cages and background information so I know what I'm getting into. Noods was an emergency pickup, so I was unprepared. I met the (seemingly) young lady at a convenience store not too far from where I life and had this tiny thing thrust at me.
No cage.
No information.
Nothing.
I was simply told she had to get rid of the bird. I have no clue why or what happened, but now I had this tiny animal that could fly and no way to contain it for the drive home. Normally, I keep pillowcases and boxes in the back of the car for reptile pickups (which is most of what I do) but I had nothing for a bird.
So, we got in the car, I put her on my knee and told her to sit still.
She did.
We got home and I stashed her in a small travel cage while I set up a larger one for her permanent abode.
She's been with us for about four months now. She is an absolute love and the whole family adores her. Noodle likes to feed the dog for entertainment. She'll drop food out of her cage and then fly down to the bottom to watch the dog come and sniff around looking for the goodies. When she wants to come out of her cage, she does pinwheels around one of her perches. I should get a video of that...
She doesn't really talk, but she mimics the birds outside, so the only real noises she makes are fairly quiet tweets unless we haven't taken the cover off of her cage before 9am.
Anyway, that's to make up for any real post of substance today.
Enjoy!
So cute!
